Jimmy Herget - Suffers setback Herget has been shut down from throwing after continuing to feel discomfort in his injured right shoulder, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Impact Herget was placed on the injured list June 22 with a right shoulder impingement. The original expectation was that his injury wouldn't be long term, but it now appears likely that the right-hander won't be activated when first eligible July 7 given the setback. Herget posted a 3.72 ERA and 0.99 WHIP while collecting one save and two holds across 25 appearances before being sidelined.

Oliver Ortega - Takes loss Tuesday Ortega (1-3) was tagged with the loss against the White Sox on Tuesday as a result of giving up two runs on three hits over two-thirds of an inning. He struck out one batter.

Impact Ortega's control of the zone was fine, as he threw 15 of 19 pitches for strikes. However, the right-hander was too hittable, giving up a trio of base knocks including a two-run homer off the bat of Luis Robert. Long balls have been a problem for Ortega of late -- he's given up four over his past 6.2 innings after yielding just one homer across his first 24 frames of the campaign.

Austin Warren - Makes rehab appearance Warren (triceps) walked two batters in a scoreless inning during his rehab appearance Tuesday with Triple-A Salt Lake.

Impact Warren went on the 15-day injured list June 18 with the left triceps strain, so he'll likely need only one more rehab appearance, at most, before being deemed ready to rejoin the Angels. The 26-year-old has turned in a 3.97 ERA and 1.50 WHIP across his nine relief appearances with the big club this season.
