ImpactParedes was called up by the Astros on June 26, and he made three relief appearances during his week on the major-league roster. Jake Odorizzi - Activated prior to startOdorizzi (lower leg) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list ahead of Monday's start against the Royals.
ImpactOdorizzi was out since mid-May due to strains and sprains to ligaments in his right foot and ankle, but he recently made a pair of rehab starts and posted a 2.25 ERA and 0.88 WHIP in eight innings. The Astros will roll with a six-man rotation this week now that Odorizzi is available, and he should be able to handle a relatively full workload Monday since he tossed 78 pitches during his most recent rehab start.

Forrest Whitley - Activated from injured listWhitley (elbow) was activated from the injured list Monday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ImpactWhitley made a few rehab starts in recent weeks, but he has officially completed his comeback from Tommy John surgery and is ready to pitch regularly again. Whitley was assigned to Triple-A Sugar Land, where he will work on building up his pitch count. He could be an option for the big club at some point in the second half, but the Astros have a lot of capable starters, so they have little incentive to push him over the remainder of the campaign.

ImpactMushinski has been on the 15-day injured list since June 7 with left elbow discomfort and will likely need at least two appearances in the minors before he's deemed ready to rejoin the big-league bullpen. Prior to being shelved with the injury, Mushinski covered 6.1 innings and gave up three earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out eight across his six relief appearances for Houston.
