Adam Frazier - Getting regular run versus rightiesFrazier will start in right field and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Angels.
ImpactDating back to Aug. 10, Frazier is hitting .421 over a stretch of eight games, and he's now picked up six consecutive starts against right-handed pitchers. Four of those six starts have come in right field, where he could be displacing Hunter Renfroe as the Royals' preferred option. The Royals will make room in the lineup Wednesday for both Frazier and Renfroe, however, with the latter player filling in at designated hitter for a resting Freddy Fermin.

Paul DeJong - On bench, but picking up playing timeDeJong is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.
ImpactDeJong will hit the bench after he had started in five of the past six games while going 7-for-20 with two home runs and two doubles. Though he'll give way to Maikel Garcia in the series finale, DeJong may be the Royals' preferred option of the two at third base while he's swinging a hotter bat at the moment. Garcia has turned in a weak .575 OPS since the beginning of August and was on the bench in each of the Royals' previous three matchups with right-handers.
AUGUST 21ROTOWIRE
Freddy Fermin - Sitting after seven straight startsFermin is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.
ImpactAfter going 9-for-28 with three doubles and two walks while starting each of the past seven games, Fermin will get a breather in the series finale. Salvador Perez will return behind the plate Wednesday after occupying first base in Tuesday's 9-5 loss, while Hunter Renfroe gets a day out of the outfield and serves as the Royals' designated hitter.
