Chad Wallach - Promoted, starting FridayThe Angels selected Wallach from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

ImpactWallach will take the place of Logan O'Hoppe, who was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday with a shoulder injury. The 31-year-old backstop doesn't have a strong major-league history, but he's slashed .361/.442/.556 in Triple-A through 43 plate appearances this season, so perhaps he can carry his hot streak into the big leagues.

Logan O'Hoppe - Placed on IL with shoulder injuryO'Hoppe was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left shoulder injury by the Angels on Friday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
