Anthony Volpe - X-rays cleanVolpe (foot) underwent X-rays on his left foot, which came back clean following Thursday's 9-4 loss to the Angels, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
ImpactVolpe was forced to leave Thursday's contest in the eighth inning after dealing with foot pain stemming from a foul ball in the second frame. The shortstop avoided any fractures and is dealing with a contusion ahead of Friday's series opener at home against the Rangers. Manager Aaron Boone is uncertain if Volpe will be able to go Friday, but he can be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Anthony Volpe - Exits early versus AngelsVolpe (foot) left Thursday's contest against the Angels in the eighth inning, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.
ImpactVolpe fouled a ball off his left foot in the bottom of the second inning and he was ultimately removed from the contest as a result. He finished his day 0-for-3 from the plate, including a strikeout. The shortstop is set to be examined by the Yankees' head physician and more information on his status moving forward will likely be provided in the near future.
