Mike Clevinger - Progressing wellClevinger (elbow) has been throwing on flat ground from 75 to 90 feet and remains on track to return by the start of next season, per MLB.com.
ImpactClevinger is now 10 months removed from Tommy John surgery and has reached a point where he is able to throw "at a pretty good level of intensity," according to Padres manager Jayce Tingler. The right-hander will have a rotation spot waiting for him next season, and the expectation is that he'll be ready to go from the start of the campaign.

Mike Trout - Still rehabbingTrout (calf) hasn't given up on playing again this season, but he is still rehabbing and is unlikely to return, per MLB.com.
ImpactTrout has remained committed to taking the field again throughout the course of his time on the injured list, but he hasn't progressed to the point of being ready for a rehab assignment. With less than four weeks remaining in the campaign and the Angels firmly out of the playoff hunt, it makes little sense for the organization to clear their superstar outfielder for a return unless he is fully healthy.

Dylan Bundy - Tosses bullpen WednesdayBundy (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Wednesday and expects to return this season, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
ImpactBundy's session Wednesday included just 20 pitches -- all of which were fastballs -- and will be followed by another bullpen Saturday. He'll need to face live hitters and mix in all of his pitches before being able to return to game action, but the right-hander remains confident that he'll be back with the big club before the end of the campaign. "We haven't gotten that far, as far as how many pitches I need to get up to or whatnot, but I'm very confident that before the season is over I'll be back out there at some point," Bundy said.

Alex Cobb - Progressing toward returnCobb (wrist) has thrown a pair of bullpen sessions and is slated to pitch in a simulated game this weekend, MLB.com reports.
ImpactThe right-hander hasn't pitched for the Angels since July 23, but there remains hope that he could return to the rotation this season. He may require a minor-league rehab assignment before rejoining the big club, however.

Jose Marte - Nearing returnMarte (undisclosed) tossed a bullpen session in San Diego on Wednesday and could be activated in the coming days, per MLB.com.
ImpactThe right-hander has been on the injured list since Aug. 22, and though a reason was never announced, it's likely that he has been navigating COVID-19 protocols. While he's pitched in only one game for the Angels this season, Marte could be given a spot in the bullpen upon his return.
