ImpactOverton joined the Blue Jays on a minor-league deal in February, and he put up a career-best 2.03 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 57.2 innings across 21 appearances (seven starts) at Triple-A Buffalo. The right-hander will be available to make his major-league debut out of the bullpen as early as Wednesday against the Angels.

Patrick Murphy - Designated for assignmentMurphy was designated for assignment by the Blue Jays on Wednesday.
ImpactMurphy had tossed four scoreless innings across three relief appearances in the majors since the start of July, but he'll still be cast off the 40-man roster. The 26-year-old has a strong chance to remain in the organization if he goes unclaimed on waivers, but right-hander Trent Thornton will take his place in the bullpen.

ImpactStripling's move to the injured list was expected after he exited the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Angels due to the injury.
