Lined up for bulk of innings Pepiot will be the Dodgers' bulk pitcher in their second game Thursday at Cleveland, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
Impact Pepiot might follow an opener -- probably Caleb Ferguson -- but the Dodgers aren't setting anything in stone until they get through the remainder of Wednesday's suspended game. Pepiot still has to be officially recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he's pitched to a 3.97 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 26:5 K:BB in 22.2 innings (six starts) this year. He tallied five strikeouts over five innings of one-run ball in his MLB season debut last week against the Marlins before getting sent back down to the farm.

Impact Kershaw seemed to have his stuff working early, racking up eight swinging strikes on 33 pitches and getting each of his final four outs via strikeout. He allowed a solo homer to Jose Ramirez in the first inning but held a 3-1 lead after two frames before the contest was halted and then suspended due to rain. Perhaps the short outing will be positive for Kershaw in the long run, as he's dealt with multiple injuries over the past few seasons and was making just this third start Wednesday since returning from an injury absence that lasted about six weeks. The Dodgers and Guardians will resume the suspended contest as part of a doubleheader Thursday, but Kershaw obviously won't pitch in that contest and thus won't factor into the decision.

Set to start Thursday Pepiot will be called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Thursday against the Guardians, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Impact The 26-year-old was sent down after he allowed a run over five frames in his season debut last week, and he'll rejoin the Dodgers on Thursday for what's likely to be a longer look in the rotation. Pepiot had a 3.47 ERA over nine outings in his first taste of the majors last year, and he should have the chance to finish the campaign in Los Angeles' rotation after Tony Gonsolin (forearm) was recently labeled as unlikely to return this season.

Doubtful to return this year Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday that Treinen (shoulder) remains a "long shot" to pitch in the majors this year, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Impact Treinen made his minor-league rehab debut with a 1-2-3 inning Tuesday in the Arizona Complex League and will now move on to Triple-A Oklahoma City, but it sounds like the Dodgers have no intention of rushing him back.
