Brusdar Graterol - Likely set for paternity leaveThe Dodgers are expected to place Graterol on the paternity list prior to Tuesday's series opener in Pittsburgh, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

ImpactGraterol is one of two Dodgers players who is expected to skip the three-game series in Pittsburgh while awaiting the birth of a child, as Max Muncy (personal) has already been confirmed to be placed on the paternity list. The Dodgers haven't yet announced a replacement on the 26-man active roster for Graterol, but Los Angeles could activate Evan Phillips -- who was placed on the paternity list last Thursday -- in a corresponding move. Phillips should then have a clear path to closing duties throughout the series in Pittsburgh.

ImpactMartinez gave the Dodgers some breathing room with his 401-foot solo shot in the sixth inning that made the score 5-3. The veteran has four homers on the campaign, three of which have come over his past six games. Martinez also has nine doubles and two triples, putting him atop the NL leaderboard with 15 extra-base hits this season.

Brusdar Graterol - Nabs first save of campaignGraterol earned a save against the Cubs on Sunday, allowing three hits and no walks over two scoreless innings.

ImpactGraterol got the call in the eighth inning with Los Angeles up by two runs. He gave up a two-out double but completed the scoreless frame on just 12 pitches. The Dodgers put up a pair of runs in the top of the ninth, and Graterol was allowed to finish off the win despite allowing two singles in the bottom of the frame. The save was his first of the season, and the outing extended his streak of appearances without allowing a run to six. Evan Phillips, who has two saves this season, wasn't with the team Sunday while on paternity leave, so it's not certain how manager Dave Roberts would have deployed the pair of relivers under normal circumstances. However, the team hasn't yet indicated a commitment to a full-time closer, so both Phillips and Graterol should be seen as candidates for ninth-inning duties for the time being.

Michael Busch - Headed to big leaguesBusch was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City by the Dodgers on Monday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

ImpactHe's taking the roster spot of Max Muncy, who is going on paternity leave. Busch has posted a .967 OPS with two homers with Oklahoma City this season after boasting an .881 OPS with 32 dingers between Double-A Tulsa and Oklahoma City in 2022. He'll be making his major-league debut when he gets into a game, although it could be a short stay if he goes back to the minors when Muncy returns.
