Gavin Lux draws the start in center field Friday.

ImpactThe club announced Wednesday that Joe's hamstring strain would keep him out for the remainder of the season, so Friday's move is merely a formality. ImpactThe club announced Lambert as Friday's starter earlier in the week, and now the club has made the move official by transferring Connor Joe (hamstring) to the 60-day IL and optioning Ryan Vilade to Triple-A Albuquerque. Lambert will be making his first start since 2019, when he went 3-7 with a 7.25 ERA and 1.74 WHIP. Cody Bellinger - Could take swings this weekendBellinger (ribs) may be able to resume swinging a bat this weekend, Matthew Moreno of Dodger Blue reports.
ImpactBellinger was placed on the10-day injured list with a non-displaced left rib fracture Tuesday, though the team had been on the fence about whether he needed an IL stint prior to the move. He could head to the team's spring-training site to log at-bats if he is able to take swings comfortably in the coming days. There seems to be a good chance that the 26-year-old will be able to make it back to the active roster before the end of the regular season, but he won't be eligible to return until Tuesday.
