Likely done for season White Sox general manager Chris Getz acknowledged Wednesday that Robert could be done for the season after being diagnosed with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain, James Fegan of SoxM... Impact Robert suffered the injury during Tuesday's game versus the Royals and was subsequently placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday. Given that it's a moderate strain and there are less than five weeks remaining in the regular season, a return before the end of the year for Robert looks like a long shot. Getz also noted Wednesday when asked about how the injury affects Robert's $20 million team option for 2026 that the club is "committed to Luis," suggesting that option will be exercised. If Robert's season is indeed over, he'll finish with a .223/.297/.364 batting line, 14 home runs and 33 stolen bases. He was much better in the second half, slashing .298/.352/.456, after hitting only .190/.275/.325 in the first half.
