Impact Robert has been on a rehab assignment for just over three weeks, and he's hit .265 with two doubles, three runs, three RBI and a stolen base across 10 games. While manager Tony La Russa said Thursday that the outfielder's return is imminent, he ruled him out for the team's weekend series and said that the 24-year-old will face an "important test" in his rehab assignment this weekend. La Russa is optimistic that Robert will be in consideration to return from the 60-day IL against Minnesota on Monday.

Through the first eight games of his rehab assignment that has included stops at Charlotte and High-A Winston-Salem, Robert has gone 8-for-25 with two doubles, one stolen base and a 4:7 BB:K.

Impact Robert is a combined 8-for-25 over eight games in his rehab assignment at High-A Winston-Salem and now Charlotte. White Sox manager Tony La Russa said he's received nothing but glowing reports from Knights manager Wes Helms but added that Robert is still "a few at-bats short" of returning. The White Sox have 20 days to keep him on rehab, which began July 21, so they have until next weekend to get him on board in Chicago.

Moves to Triple-A Robert went 0-for-2 with a walk and was hit by a pitch for Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.
Impact Robert had his rehab assignment moved to Triple-A Charlotte, and this was his first game with the Knights. He started in center field, batted leadoff, and played nine innings in the field before leaving for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the ninth inning. He was hit by a pitch in the seventh inning and stayed in the game, so there does not appear to be any concern regarding that. The White Sox have not put a timetable on Robert's return, but he's allowed a maximum of 20 days on a rehab stint. If he uses the full allotment of time, the latest he would return is Aug. 12.
