Nabs eighth win Sunday Stroman (8-6) earned the win over Texas on Sunday, allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out one batter over five innings.
Impact Stroman's one punchout wasn't ideal from a fantasy perspective, but it didn't impact his ability to notch his first victory since June 22. The veteran righty had posted a 7.56 ERA and 1.92 WHIP during the six-game winless stretch, so he'll look to Sunday's performance as a potential turnaround point. Stroman's next outing is tentatively lined up to take place in Detroit this weekend.

Impact Stroman's next turn would have been Friday, but the Yankees will give him a couple extra days as he irons some things out with his delivery. The right-hander has posted a 7.56 ERA and 1.92 WHIP over his last six starts and lasted just 2.2 innings his last time out versus the Blue Jays. Carlos Rodon and Gerrit Cole will each move up a day to start on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Impact Stroman allowed a couple of solo homers but was otherwise efficient during Sunday's outing. He's struggled with both the long ball and bases on balls this year but while Stroman upped his home runs allowed to 17, he didn't allow a free pass for the first time all season after entering the contest with a BB/9 of 4.0. Stroman has particularly struggled since the start of June with only one quality start and a 5.04 ERA and 1.46 WHIP over eight starts spanning 41 innings. He's scheduled to take the hill again next weekend when the Yankees head to Boston to take on their bitter rivals.
