Trevor Rogers - Lands on IL The Marlins placed Rogers on the 10-day injured list Saturday with lower back muscle spasms, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Impact The lefty must have suffered the injury during Tuesday's start when he wasn't exceptionally sharp, walking three batters and allowing two runs in five innings. It's unclear how long Rogers will be sidelined with the back spasms. Braxton Garrett was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move.

Adam Duvall - Clubs 22nd homer Duvall went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Padres.

Impact He took Joe Musgrove deep in the second inning to get the Marlins on the board, but they were already in a 3-0 hole at that point. Duvall has been exactly as advertised for Miami this season, slashing .236/.281/.495 through 87 games with 22 homers -- his highest total since he launched 30-plus in back-to-back campaigns for the Reds in 2016-17.

Impact The rookie right-hander settled down after spotting the Padres a 3-0 lead through two frames, but the Marlins' bats couldn't climb out of the hole. Miguel Rojas - Displays rare plate discipline Rojas went 0-for-1 with three walks and a stolen base in Thursday's 3-2 loss to San Diego.

Impact Considering the shortstop hadn't drawn a walk since July 5, it was a little surprising to see him display so much patience at the plate. Rojas also added his seventh stolen base of the year Thursday. The 32-year-old has a .270/.333/.409 slash line with five home runs, 27 RBI and 37 runs scored. He also lifted his walk rate to 7.4 percent, but he shouldn't be counted on to draw frequent free passes.

Jordan Holloway - Dealt loss Holloway (2-3) allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits and five walks with just one strikeout in 3.2 innings, taking the loss versus San Diego on Thursday.

Impact Holloway worked behind opener Anthony Bender in this contest. While Holloway kept the ball in the yard, he matched his season high with five free passes, and it limited his effectiveness. The right-hander owns a 3.21 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 32:22 K:BB through 33.2 innings this season.
