Joe Panik - Steals base in loss Panik went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's 8-7 extra-inning loss to Atlanta.
Impact The second baseman's first steal since 2019 came in the fifth inning after he drew a walk. Panik was lifted from the game in the ninth inning with Jazz Chisholm (ankle) entering as a defensive replacement. Through 134 plate appearances, Panik has a .244/.299/.366 slash line, three home runs, 13 RBI and 11 runs scored in 45 games between the Blue Jays and the Marlins. He'll likely return to a utility role when Chisholm is ready to return to the starting nine.

Impact The shortstop got aboard with a single and stole second in the fourth, but he was left on base. The 32-year-old has hit a meager 4-for-24 (.167) across his last six games, and he's batting only .170 since he returned from a broken finger June 18. Rojas has produced four home runs, 22 RBI, 35 runs scored and five stolen bases in 61 games this season.

Impact Marte scored each time he got on base Sunday after he was limited to two walks in his previous two games. Aside from a four-hit effort versus Philadelphia on Wednesday, the outfielder has slumped lately. He's still doing well overall with a .294/.401/.453 slash line, six home runs, 18 RBI, 38 runs scored and 13 stolen bases in 15 attempts through 202 plate appearances. Marte's 13.4 percent walk rate is by far the best of his career.

Impact Leon went yard in the ninth inning for his second homer of the season. Playing time remains scarce for the backup catcher, who has just 17 at-bats in the last two weeks. He's batting .182 with seven RBI, seven runs scored and three doubles through 130 plate appearances overall.

Impact The first baseman smacked his 13th homer of the year in the ninth inning to give Miami a 7-3 lead, but Atlanta rallied to tie the game. Aguilar continues to produce reliably with a .266/.327/.460 slash line, 53 RBI and 27 runs scored through 309 plate appearances. The homer was his first since June 6.

Impact The outfielder had a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning and a go-ahead three-run blast in the sixth against his former team. The three-hit effort was his second in the last four games. Duvall is up to 19 homers, 60 RBI, 36 runs scored and five stolen bases while slashing .230/.277/.490 across 278 plate appearances.

Anthony Bass - Stuck with loss Sunday Bass (1-4) gave up a run on one hit and three walks in two-thirds of an inning in Sunday's extra-inning loss to Atlanta.
Impact The right-hander had a rather bizarre appearance in the 10th inning. He intentionally walked two of the first three batters, getting initial runner Austin Riley out on a throw for the second out. Bass then loaded the bases with one more intentional walk to Kevan Smith to get to the pitcher's spot in the order. Atlanta sent pitcher Max Fried up as a pinch hitter, and he delivered a walkoff single to stick Bass with the loss. To make matters worse, the run he allowed counted as an earned run and lifted his ERA to 4.40 with a 1.27 WHIP through 30.2 innings this year. The right-hander has 10 holds and four blown saves, but he should continue to see high-leverage work despite some inconsistency.

Zach Thompson - Whiffs six in no-decision Thompson allowed three runs on five hits and a walk with six strikeouts in six innings in a no-decision versus Atlanta on Sunday.
Impact While Thompson didn't allow much, three of the hits he gave up went for extra bases -- a two-run home run by Ronald Acuna and a pair of Dansby Swanson doubles. The right-hander continues to put together good outings, as Sunday was Thompson's second straight quality start. He has a 2.25 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 31:7 K:BB through 24 innings spanning five appearances. He carries a 2-2 record into next weekend's rematch with Atlanta.
