Ozzie Albies - Powers team to victoryAlbies went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Marlins.
ImpactAfter homering in each of his first four games of September, Albies endured a 1-for-19 dry spell at the dish over the subsequent four contests before getting back on track Sunday. Two batters after Albies connected on his solo shot in the seventh inning, Freddie Freeman left the yard and joined teammate Adam Duvall (34) as members of the 30-home run club. Albies (28), Austin Riley (29) and Dansby Swanson (26) will all have shots at reaching that benchmark over the final three weeks of the season.

Lewin Díaz - Back in starting nineDiaz will start at first base and bat sixth Monday against the Nationals, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
ImpactThe lefty-hitting Diaz took a seat in Sunday's 5-3 loss to Atlanta with a southpaw (Max Fried) on the mound for the opposition, but the 24-year-old rookie will be back in action for the series opener in Washington. Since being recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville on Sept. 8, Diaz has gone 3-for-17 with a triple and a run. Expect him to serve as Miami's primary first baseman while Jesus Aguilar (knee) is on the injured list.

Jorge Alfaro - Not in Monday's lineupAlfaro (calf) isn't starting Monday's game against the Nationals, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
ImpactAlfaro will be held out of the lineup for a second straight game as he continues to deal with calf tightness. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available off the bench Monday, but Alex Jackson will start behind the plate and bat seventh.

Freddie Freeman - Joins 30-homer clubFreeman went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Sunday in Atlanta's 5-3 win over Miami.
ImpactFreeman celebrated his 32nd birthday by locking up the third 30-homer campaign of his career in the seventh inning, when he took Anthony Bass deep to the opposite field to give Atlanta a two-run lead. While he's not quite meeting the high standard he established during his 2020 National League MVP season, Freeman has more or less paid off for fantasy managers that nabbed him in the first or second round of drafts. He's supplemented his 30 home runs with 77 RBI, eight stolen bases, a .296 average and an NL-leading 107 runs.
