Coors Field, Denver, CO
Joey Wendle - Out against leftyWendle isn't starting Friday against the Angels, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
ImpactWendle holds a .598 OPS against southpaws over the last three seasons, so he will retreat to the bench Friday against Reid Detmers and the Angels. Jon Berti will fill in as the Marlins' shortstop and bat leadoff.

Luis Arraez - Returns to lineupArraez (leg) is starting at second base Friday against the Angels, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
ImpactLeft leg cramps kept Arraez out of the Marlins' lineup Thursday, but the 26-year-old infielder will return to his usual spot at second base after just one missed start. Arraez is currently enjoying the best statistical season of his career, slashing .371/.422/.465 through 187 plate appearances.

Randal Grichuk - On bench FridayGrichuk is absent from the lineup Friday against the Mets.
ImpactThe left-handed hitting Harold Castro will start in center field and bat sixth versus ace right-hander Max Scherzer. Grichuk gets a breather after going 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the Marlins.

Brenton Doyle - Not in lineup FridayDoyle (knee) is not in the starting lineup Friday versus the Mets.
ImpactThis comes as no surprise after Doyle had to be carted off the field Thursday following a hard collision with the outfield wall at Coors Field. The current belief is that he escaped with only a bruised knee, though the Rockies may still be evaluating the situation. Harold Castro is playing center field Friday and fresh call-up Nolan Jones will cover first base.

Nolan Jones - Recalled from Triple-AColorado recalled Jones from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
ImpactThe initial belief was that Jones would be replacing Brenton Doyle (knee) on the Rockies' active roster, but it now appears that Doyle will not require an IL stint. Michael Toglia wound up being optioned as the corresponding move for Jones, who had been on an absolute heater offensively at the Triple-A level. Presuming he gets regular at-bats, the versatile 25-year-old is probably worth a try in deeper fantasy formats. He was slashing .356/.481/.711 with 12 homers, 42 RBI, five stolen bases and 38 runs scored in 39 games with Albuquerque.

Michael Toglia - Sent back to Triple-AColorado optioned Toglia to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
ImpactToglia has posted high-level power totals in the minors and showed some promise during his first taste of major-league action last season, but he was slashing just .174/.240/.217 in 25 plate appearances with the Rockies since being recalled May 15. Nolan Jones will join the big-league club in a corresponding roster move.
