Miguel Rojas - Registers steal in lossRojas went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's 9-4 loss to the Astros.
ImpactRojas singled and stole second in the fourth inning, ending an 0-for-13 skid at the plate. The shortstop's gone 7-for-36 (.194) through 11 games in June, but he's retained a starting role with Joey Wendle (hamstring) and Brian Anderson (back) sidelined. After notching 13 steals in 16 tries last year, Rojas has just two thefts in three attempts so far in 2022. He's added a .213/.280/.320 slash line with four home runs, 13 RBI, 17 runs scored, four doubles and a triple in 50 games.

Bryan De La Cruz - Slugs three-run homerDe La Cruz went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 9-4 loss to the Astros.
ImpactA couple of errors from the Astros fueled the Marlins' rally in the seventh inning, which was capped off by De La Cruz's blast. He got the visitors within a run, but they failed to continue their momentum over the last two innings. The 25-year-old outfielder's only other homer of the season was back on April 19, and he's added just four doubles among his 23 hits this year. He's slashing .230/.291/.330 with 12 RBI, 12 runs scored and a stolen base as mainly a reserve outfielder, though he could take on a starting role if Avisail Garcia's (hand) MRI reveals a significant injury.

Edward Cabrera - Hits first hurdle SundayCabrera (2-1) took the loss Sunday versus the Astros. He allowed five runs on seven hits, three walks and a hit batter with two strikeouts in 3.2 innings.
ImpactCabrera cruised through six innings in each of his first two starts, but those came against the Rockies and the Nationals. The Astros presented a much firmer challenge, and the 24-year-old was pulled after running into trouble in the fourth inning Sunday. He's at a 3.45 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 15:9 K:BB across 15.2 innings, with the free passes continuing to be the most concerning aspect on his stat line. He'll look to get back on track in a road start versus the Mets next week, and Cabrera's place in the rotation should be safe until at least one of Cody Poteet (elbow) or Jesus Luzardo (forearm) can return, which is still likely weeks away.

Yordan Alvarez - Racks up three hitsAlvarez went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Sunday's 9-4 win over the Marlins.
ImpactAlvarez delivered an RBI single in the fourth inning and a sacrifice fly in the eighth. Through 10 games in June, the designated hitter has already posted five three-hit efforts, picking right up where he left off after ending May strong. The 24-year-old is up to a .311/.402/.628 slash line with 17 home runs, 41 RBI, 38 runs scored, seven doubles and two triples through 54 contests. His 1.030 OPS is just 37 points shy of his career-best mark from his rookie year, though it remains to be seen if he can push it even higher in 2022.

Jeremy Peña - Homer, steal in winPena went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, an additional run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 9-4 win over the Marlins. He was also hit by a pitch.
ImpactPena stretched the Astros' lead to 3-0 with his two-run shot in the fourth inning. He's gone 5-for-16 (.313) with three of his six stolen bases this year in his last five games. The rookie shortstop has maintained a solid .277/.330/.468 slash line with nine homers, 27 RBI and 26 runs scored through 53 contests as a regular presence in the bottom half of the lineup.
JUNE 12, 2022ROTOWIRE
Jose Altuve - Goes deep in Sunday's winAltuve went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, three RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 9-4 win over the Marlins.
ImpactAltuve came up a triple shy of the cycle Sunday. He doubled and scored in the first inning before adding a three-run blast in the eighth. The second baseman is 11-for-32 (.344) in his last seven games, which includes three multi-hit efforts, two homers and four doubles. For the season, he's posted a .279/.348/.536 slash line, 12 long balls, 23 RBI, 28 runs scored, three stolen bases and 10 doubles through 45 contests as the Astros' regular leadoff hitter.
JUNE 12, 2022ROTOWIRE
Justin Verlander - Strong over seven innings in winVerlander (8-2) allowed four unearned runs on three hits and a walk with five strikeouts in seven innings, earning the win Sunday over the Marlins.
ImpactThe Astros' defense committed two errors in the seventh inning, allowing the Marlins to build a four-run rally against Verlander that was capped off by a Bryan De La Cruz home run. It won't hurt Verlander's ERA since all the runs were unearned, and he's now gone seven innings in each of his last three starts. The 39-year-old now has a 1.94 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 78:15 K:BB through 78.2 innings across 12 starts. He projects to make his next start at home versus the White Sox next weekend.
