Christian Yelich - Back in lineupYelich (back) is starting in left field and batting in the leadoff spot Friday against Washington.
ImpactBack stiffness has kept Yelich sidelined for the past week, but he'll return to his usual spot at the top of the order Friday. The 31-year-old outfielder has been in a slump at the plate recently, but he still holds an .864 OPS against right-handers this season.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. - Back in action FridayChisholm (knee) is starting in center field and batting cleanup in Friday's contest against Atlanta, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
ImpactChisholm didn't play Thursday in Milwaukee after having to exit Wednesday's contest when he tweaked his right knee. He's feeling well enough to play Friday as the Marlins began a critical nine-game homestand.

Dane Myers - Steals first big-league bagMyers went 0-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base in Thursday's loss to the Brewers.
ImpactRecalled from Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday, the 27-year-old got the start in center field and batted eighth with Jazz Chisholm unavailable while dealing with what's thought to be a minor knee issue. Myers took advantage of the opportunity, swiping his first career base in the majors in the seventh inning as the Marlins tried to erase a 3-2 deficit. Chisholm could be back in the lineup as soon as Friday, but if he's not ready to return, Myers might get the nod again against right-hander Bryce Elder and Atlanta.

ImpactTurang stole second after reaching on an infield single in the seventh and was then driven home on a Tyrone Taylor double to put the Brewers up 4-2. It was the second baseman's fifth steal this month and the fourth in his last five starts. However, he's still batting just .243 in September with four RBI and five runs scored, while his last home run came back on Aug. 7.

Devin Williams - Nails down 34th saveWilliams picked up the save Thursday against Miami, pitching a perfect inning while not recording any strikeouts.
ImpactWilliams needed only 11 pitches to get through the middle of the Marlins' lineup and record his 34th save of the season. The right-hander has now converted each of his last three save attempts and has not allowed any hits, walks or runs in three straight appearances. Thursday's save did, however, mark the first time in his last seven outings that he failed to record at least one strikeout.

Eury Pérez - Strikes out seven in lossPerez (5-5) took the loss Thursday, allowing three runs on five hits over 4.2 innings against the Brewers while striking out seven and not issuing any walks.

The young right-hander would then go on to allow another two runs in the fifth before being relieved by George Soriano, marking the fourth time in his last seven starts that he's failed to make it through five innings. Perez has not won a start since June 25 and currently holds a 5.02 ERA in September to go along with a 16:6 K:BB.
