Sean Reid-Foley - Sent down WednesdayReid-Foley was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
ImpactReid-Foley was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Sunday, but he didn't make any appearances with the major-league club following his activation. He'll head back to the minors since Noah Syndergaard is expected to remain on the active roster for the remainder of the regular season.

Patrick Mazeika - Back with big clubThe Mets recalled Mazeika from Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
ImpactWith No. 2 backstop Tomas Nido landing on the injured list for the third time since the All-Star break with a sprained left thumb, Mazeika will rejoin the big club to serve as the top understudy to James McCann for the final five games of the season. Mazeika has hit .197 with one home run in 36 games at the big-league level in 2021.

Tomás Nido - Shut down with sprained thumbThe Mets placed Nido on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a sprained left thumb, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
ImpactThe same injury has previously forced Nido to the shelf on two other occasions in recent weeks, and it'll now result in his 2021 campaign coming to an end with five games still left on the Mets' schedule. New York called up Patrick Mazeika from Triple-A Syracuse in a corresponding move, and he'll serve as the No. 2 catcher behind James McCann the rest of the way. Nido concludes the 2021 campaign with a .222/.261/.327 slash line, three home runs, one stolen base, 16 runs and 13 RBI in 161 plate appearances over 58 games.

Trevor Rogers - Stymies Mets in no-decisionRogers gave up a run on three hits and no walks while striking out six over five innings Tuesday in the Marlins' 2-1 loss to the Mets in the second game of a doubleheader. He didn'...
ImpactThe All-Star rookie has gone winless over his 12 starts dating back to June 10, but it's largely been a byproduct of poor run support rather than his own undoing. Rogers has delivered a 3.61 ERA and 1.29 WHIP over that 12-start stretch, and those strong ratios are actually a stark downturn from his season-long marks (2.64 and 1.15, respectively). The Marlins haven't indicated that Tuesday's outing was Rogers' last of 2021, so he'll presumably be on track to start the team's season finale Sunday versus the Phillies in Miami.
