Trevor Cahill - Throws again SundayCahill (calf) completed another throwing session at PNC Park on Sunday, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

ImpactAccording to MLB.com, Cahill threw a live batting practice session June 1 that consisted of about 30 pitches, and he's continued to steadily build up his count since then. Though Cahill is getting stretched back out for a potential starting role, Pirates manager Derek Shelton acknowledged that the team may not have a rotation spot available for the 33-year-old once he returns from the 10-day injured list, per Rob Biertempfel of The Athletic. Cahill posted a 6.81 ERA and 1.49 WHIP across eight starts prior to landing on the injured list May 22 with a left calf strain.

Luis Marte - Heads to Triple-AThe Marlins outrighted Marte to Triple-A Jacksonville after he cleared waivers Sunday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

ImpactA 27-year-old utility infielder with three career MLB plate appearances to his name, Marte unsurprisingly didn't attract much attention on the waiver wire after the Marlins booted him off their 40-man roster Thursday. He'll remain in the Marlins organization as a depth piece at Triple-A.

Colin Moran - Hits RBI double in returnMoran (groin) went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in Sunday's 3-1 loss to Miami.

ImpactThe first baseman knocked in Pittsburgh's lone run with his double to plate Adam Frazier in the first inning. Moran missed four weeks with left groin discomfort. He's slashing a strong .296/.349/.470 with four home runs, 20 RBI, 10 runs scored and a stolen base across 126 plate appearances. He is likely to resume his role as Pittsburgh's everyday first baseman.

ImpactThe southpaw made his debut Sunday, and it was a quick one. He retired the side on seven pitches in the seventh inning. Davis was out for over three months while recovering from an elbow sprain. He'll likely begin the year in a low-leverage role out of the bullpen.

ImpactKuhl wasn't poor on the mound, as his only big mistake was a Jesus Aguilar solo home run in the second inning. In the sixth, the right-hander yielded an unearned run and a sacrifice fly, and that was enough to take his second loss in as many starts. He's pitched to a 5.61 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 21:17 K:BB across 25.2 innings this season. Kuhl lines up for a road start in Milwaukee next weekend.
