ImpactRojas singled and swiped second base in the seventh inning against Joe Musgrove. It was the first stolen base of the season for the veteran after he stole a career-best 13 in 2021. The 33-year-old is off to a terrible start at the plate with a .489 OPS but has shown signs of life recently, reaching base safely in five of his last six starts.

ImpactMusgrove retired the first eight batters he faced and did not allow a hit until the fourth inning. He allowed a run to score on a sacrifice fly in the fourth and a Jazz Chisholm solo homer to lead off the sixth. Over six starts, the righty has tossed at least six innings in each start and allowed two earned runs or less in each outing. With 39 innings pitched, the 29-year-old leads the National League. His next start is likely next weekend in Atlanta.

Trevor Rogers - Five scoreless inningsRogers struck out three and allowed five hits and two walks in five scoreless innings in a 3-2 loss Sunday in San Diego. He did not factor into the decision.

ImpactRogers wasn't exactly efficient in the outing, needing 93 pitches to complete five frames, but holding the Padres scoreless nonetheless. After a stellar rookie campaign, the 24-year-old has been inconsistent in the early going this season, pitching well in four starts and poorly in the other two. As a whole, his 5.00 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 21:13 K: BB ratio are causes for concern and significantly worse than his rates last year. He will likely make his next start next weekend against Milwaukee.
