Jordan Luplow - Optioned to Triple-ALuplow was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Monday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
ImpactThe Rays want Luplow to spend more time learning first base, a position he's played 17 times in his 26 games for the Rays this season after never previously appearing there as a professional. Sending him down now ensures that he'll be eligible to return for the start of the playoffs, which he's expected to do.

Andrew Kittredge - Stiffness 'pretty much gone'Kittredge (neck) threw a bullpen session Saturday and manager Kevin Cash noted afterwards that the reliever's stiffness was "pretty much gone," the team's official site reports.
ImpactThe right-hander was put on the injured list retroactive to Sept. 18 as a largely precautionary measure, as the Rays were intent on not having him pitch through any discomfort and worsen a relatively minor issue. That strategy seems to be paying off as the season enters its final week, and it appears Kittredge, who's posted an excellent 1.55 ERA over 54 appearances, will be at full health for the postseason.

Matt Wisler - Throws bullpen SundayWisler (finger) threw a bullpen session Sunday without setbacks, the team's official site reports.
ImpactThe right-hander was able to throw a pair of bullpens during the weekend series against the Marlins overall and continues to demonstrate he could be over his finger issue. If all continues well, Wisler could return from the injured list for the Rays' final road trip of the season during the coming week without the need for a rehab assignment.

Cody Reed - Solid with bump up in competitionReed (shoulder) fired a scoreless sixth inning during which he recorded two strikeouts in Triple-A Durham's win over Gwinnett on Saturday and now has three consecutive scoreless ap...
ImpactReed was impressive over his 13 pitches, throwing eight for strikes in his third one-inning outing for the Bulls over a six-day period. The right-hander has recorded a 4:0 K:BB over the last pair of appearances as well, and he's certainly building up plenty of momentum heading into the offseason ahead of what should be a spring training without restrictions in 2022.
