Elieser Hernandez - Diagnosed with quad strainHernandez was diagnosed with a right quad strain after exiting Thursday's game against the Pirates.
ImpactHernandez had to be helped off the field in the top of the sixth inning after he pulled up while running from third base to home plate. It's not yet clear whether the injury will force the right-hander to miss additional time. If he's able to make his next turn through the rotation, he tentatively lines up to face the Rockies at home Tuesday.

Elieser Hernandez - Exits with apparent injuryHernandez was removed from Thursday's game against the Pirates in the top of the sixth inning with an apparent injury, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
ImpactHernandez singled in the top of the sixth inning Thursday and was later brought in to score, but he appeared to pull up while running from third to home, and he had to be helped off the field as a result. The right-hander was making his season debut after he missed the start of the year due to a biceps issue, but the nature and severity of his most recent injury aren't yet clear. Prior to his departure, Hernandez allowed one run on three hits and no walks while striking out six across five innings.

Isan Diaz - Gets another turn at third baseDiaz will start at third base and bat seventh Thursday against the Pirates, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
ImpactHe'll be making his third start in a row at the hot corner while Brian Anderson (shoulder) remains on the shelf. Though he lost out on a full-time role in the middle infield to Jazz Chisholm early on in the season, the injuries to Anderson and shortstop Miguel Rojas (finger) appears to have opened up an everyday role for Diaz in the short term. Diaz has recorded more walks (seven) than strikeouts (six) over his last six games, but thanks to going 1-for-16 during that stretch, he has no RBI or runs.

José Devers - Losing work with Chisholm backDevers is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Pirates, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
ImpactDevers had been included in the lineup in three of the previous four games, though he benefited in part from the shaky health of Jazz Chisholm, who sat out two of those contests. Now that Chisholm is healthy again, Devers is expected to be a full-time bench player while he's up with the big club.
