Goes to LAD on NRI pact The Dodgers signed Chavis to a minor-league contract Friday that includes an invitation to spring training, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Impact Chavis spent last season at the Triple-A level split between the Mariners and White Sox organizations. The 29-year-old is a career .238/.283/.401 hitter over parts of five major-league seasons and is likely to begin the 2025 campaign at Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Signs minors deal with CWS Chavis signed a minor-league contract with the White Sox on Wednesday, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Chavis inked a MiLB deal with the Mariners during the offseason and spent the first several months of the year with Triple-A Tacoma, slashing .290/.366/.485 with 29 RBI across 191 plate appearances. He opted out of his deal with Seattle on June 1 and will now look to carve out a role for himself with the White Sox. The 28-year-old has experience covering every base as well as in left field, and he could join the big-league club at some point if his bat remains hot at Triple-A Charlotte.

Impact Chavis signed with the Mariners in January as a non-roster invitee, but he will end up missing the cut after going 2-for-18 across eight games with two RBI and eight strikeouts. Chavis owns a .650 OPS since 2021 and will head to the minors looking to fight his way back onto the major-league bench.
