Impact Andujar wasn't known to be dealing with an injury, but the core-muscle issue helps explain why he was mysteriously excluded from the lineup the last two games against a pair of right-handed starting pitchers. His placement on the IL is retroactive to Sunday, so Andujar will be eligible for activation beginning Sept. 4.
