Inks two-year extension Rojas agreed Wednesday with the Marlins on a two-year, $10 million contract extension, Craig Mish of SportsGrid.com reports.
Impact The 32-year-old shortstop's new deal keep him on the Marlins' books through 2023 in what looks to be a relative bargain of a deal. While Rojas' lack of high-end tools renders him rather unexciting from a fantasy perspective, he's proven to be a steady compiler when healthy while offering a high batting-average floor. Over his last three seasons in Miami, Rojas has been a near-league-average hitter with a .277/.334/.398 slash line (99 wRC+). He's also graded out well as a defender in each of those years while serving as a sneaky source of speed (27-for-36 on steal attempts).
