May move to corner outfield The Angels are considering moving Trout (calf) to a corner-outfield spot when he is able to return to action, J.P. Hoornstra of The Orange County Register reports. Impact Trout has missed 10 weeks after straining his right calf while running the bases, which has prompted the organization to consider having him shift to either right field or left field in order to reduce the amount of running he'd have to do on defense. Rookie Brandon Marsh has taken over primary center field duties of late, and the team appears to be considering keeping him in the lineup on a near-everyday basis even after Trout returns. While a decision has yet to be finalized, manager Joe Maddon indicated Thursday that the scenario has at least been discussed with the star slugger. "You would think giving him less ground to cover might be wise," Maddon said. "So we'll see how that plays out. I've already broached the subject with him. His thought was originally that he was going to be OK once his leg feels fine but we'll wait and see."
