Impact After Hunter Renfroe (calf) landed on the 10-day injured list June 26, Davis appeared to settle into a short-side platoon role in the outfield with Jace Peterson, but both Davis and Peterson look as though they'll have an opportunity to play on a near-everyday basis in the short term. Tyrone Taylor (concussion) joined Renfroe on the injured list Sunday, creating openings in center and right field that will most likely be filled by Davis and Peterson until one of the two injured outfielders is activated. Davis is a strong defender who brings good speed, but a weak bat and a spot at the bottom of the Milwaukee lineup likely won't lend itself to much fantasy value.

Pedro Severino - Returning from suspension The Brewers reinstated Severino (suspension) from the restricted list Sunday.
Impact Severino will be joining the big club for the first time this season after he was handed an 80-game suspension shortly before Opening Day due to a violation of MLB's performance-enhancing drugs policy. Prior to his suspension, Severino had been slated to serve as the primary backup to Omar Narvaez, but that role will seemingly belong to Victor Caratini moving forward. As a result, Severino has dabbled at first base during his recent 12-game rehab assignment between Double-A Biloxi and Triple-A Nashville, and he'll also be an option at designated hitter if the Brewers want to get another right-handed bat in the lineup. Severino is unlikely to pick up more than a couple of starts per week.

Tyrone Taylor - Out with concussion The Brewers placed Taylor on the 7-day concussion injured list Sunday.
Impact Catcher Pedro Severino (suspension) was reinstated from the restricted list and will replace Taylor on the 26-man active roster, but Taylor's move to the IL should free up more playing time in the outfield for both Jace Peterson and Jonathan Davis. The two players had previously been working in a platoon in the outfield while Hunter Renfroe (calf) has been on the IL. Since Taylor's stint on the IL is retroactive to Saturday, he'll be eligible for activation as soon as July 9.
