Lorenzo Cain - Takes seat Sunday Cain is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Impact Playing in his second game since returning from the COVID-19 injured list, McCutchen got Milwaukee on the board with a solo home run off Patrick Corbin to lead off the bottom of the first, singled in the sixth and doubled in the eighth. The long ball is the veteran outfielder's third and he's put together a strong May with a .307/.357/.500 slash line through six games after a sluggish April.

Josh Hader - Records one-out save Hader got the final out of Saturday's 5-1 win against the Nationals, earning the save.

Impact Hader appeared to have the night off, but Hoby Milner put two runners on in a four-run game and the 28-year-old's services were deemed necessary. He induced a Matt Adams flyout to notch his 15th save, ranking second in the league, in his first appearance since May 16 after some time away from the team. Hader has delivered the save in all 15 of his appearances across 13.2 innings and is till yet to surrender a run.

Impact Ashby has moved between the rotation and bullpen throughout the season, starting when the Brewers have a long stretch without an off day and remaining in the bullpen otherwise. The team has just started a stretch in which it will play 18 games in 17 days, with 11 of those games coming on a road trip which lasts from May 23 through June 1. Ashby will presumably make one or two starts during that period.

Jake Cousins - Receives PRP injection Cousins (elbow) received a PRP injection Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Impact Cousins is dealing with a UCL injury in his right elbow, but he's opting against surgery for now. His recovery process was slowed after he recently tested positive for COVID-19, but he's since tested negative. Following Tuesday's injection, the 27-year-old will head to Arizona for 4-to-6 weeks of rest and rehab prior to beginning a throwing program.
