Impact The lone Marlin to reach base during Ashby's four shutout frames was Brian Anderson; he got to first after striking out in the eighth inning. Ashby struck out a career-high eight batters and he improved his season K:BB to 33:17 through 27.1 innings. The 23-year-old could move back into the rotation next week unless the Brewers plan on using him in more of a long-relief role.

Impact The 26-year-old suffered the injury during the first inning Sunday when he safely slid into home plate, and he was removed from the contest one inning later. Adames will be re-evaluated Monday and should be considered day-to-day in the meantime.

Willy Adames - Leaves Sunday's game Adames was removed from Sunday's game against the Marlins with an apparent ankle injury, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Impact Adames reached via fielder's choice during the opening frame and came around to score, but he appeared to tweak his ankle while sliding into home plate. The 26-year-old initially remained in the contest but was replaced in the field for the bottom of the second inning. He should be considered day-to-day until the team updates his status.

Impact It's encouraging that in what might be his worst start of the season through six starts, Lauer still struck out enough batters to contribute something for fantasy. This marked the first time all season he gave up more than one home run, as Jesus Aguilar, Jorge Soler and Brian Anderson all took him deep. Lauer lines up to face the Nationals at home next weekend.
