Eduardo Escobar - Reinstated from 10-day IL Escobar (hamstring) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Impact Escobar had been on the injured list since Aug. 24 due to a right hamstring strain, but he'll be back in action for Friday's series opener against the Cardinals. Prior to his injury, the 32-year-old had slashed .248/.321/.446 with four homers, 16 runs and 13 RBI in 32 games since the All-Star break.

Alec Bettinger - Returns to Triple-A Bettinger was optioned to Triple-A Nashville on Friday.

Impact Bettinger joined the big-league club Thursday and didn't take the mound during his single day in the majors. The 26-year-old will rejoin Nashville, where he has a 5.10 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 77:17 K:BB across 72.1 innings this season.

Impact Lauer put together his longest start of the season, going seven full innings for the first time since June 2019. After giving up a leadoff homer to Austin Slater to start the game, followed by a Darin Ruf walk three batters later, Lauer yielded just one baserunner the rest of the way, and that was the result of a Jace Peterson error. Lauer has just one win (1-2) in his last eight outings, but he's posted a 2.54 ERA during that stretch.

Alec Bettinger - Called up by Brewers Bettinger was recalled by the Brewers on Thursday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Impact Bettinger has been primarily a starter in the minors and filled that role in one of his four major-league appearances this season, but it looks as though he'll be a reliever for now. He's filling the roster spot that had belonged to Brett Anderson, who landed on the injured list with a bruised shoulder, but Anderson just pitched Wednesday, so his turn in the rotation isn't due up for several days.

Brett Anderson - Placed on 10-day IL Anderson was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left shoulder contusion Thursday.

Impact Anderson left Wednesday's game against the Giants early after he was struck by a line drive on the left shoulder, and the injury will force him to miss at least one turn through the rotation. The southpaw also dealt with hip and calf issues in August, but it's not yet clear how much time he'll be forced to miss due to his shoulder contusion. Alec Bettinger was recalled by the Brewers on Thursday, but the team hasn't announced who will take Anderson's place in the rotation.
