Hunter Strickland - Reinstated from injured list Strickland (illness) was reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list Monday.

Impact Strickland tested positive for COVID-19 at the end of July, but he'll be available out of the bullpen for Monday's series opener against the Cubs. Since the right-hander was traded to the Brewers in mid-June, he's posted a 1.76 ERA and 0.91 WHIP in 15.1 innings.

Blaine Hardy - Returns to Triple-A Hardy was optioned to Triple-A Nashville on Monday.

Impact Hardy was in the majors just over a week and surrendered three runs (two earned) in one inning during his lone appearance. The left-hander will return to Nashville, where he has a 3.50 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 43:17 K:BB over 46.1 innings.

Jake Cousins - Awaiting activation Cousins could be reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list as early as Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Impact Cousins landed on the COVID-19 IL at the end of July after he tested positive for the virus, but he's now cleared re-entry testing. While the righty won't return for Monday's series opener against the Cubs, he has a strong chance to rejoin the bullpen ahead of Tuesday's contest.

While it's encouraging that the Brewers are labeling his injury as a calf cramp rather than a calf strain or calf tightness, Anderson will need to complete a between-starts bullpen session without issue in the next few days to ensure he stays on turn in the Milwaukee rotation. Anderson departed with the Brewers up 3-1, but he won't be in line for his fifth win of the season after the bullpen coughed up the lead.

Impact File will stick around in Nashville after he completed his third rehab outing with the affiliate Saturday, and his seventh rehab start overall. The 25-year-old right-hander has been on the shelf all season while recovering from the surgery he required in the spring to address a fractured elbow, but he looks to be fully built up for a spot in the Nashville rotation. He was dominant in Saturday's 11-1 win over Toledo, striking out eight over 5.2 innings while permitting one run on two hits and no walks.
