ImpactBrinson took Milwaukee reliever J.P. Feyereisen deep for a game-tying solo home run in the seventh inning. That was the extent of Miami's run production Sunday. Brinson has a .240/.255/.400 slash line after his first three-hit game of the season. He's added two home runs, five RBI, three runs scored and no stolen bases in 51 plate appearances. The 27-year-old should have a near-everyday role while Starling Marte (ribs) continues to recover.

ImpactBass intentionally walked Daniel Vogelbach to pitch to Tyrone Taylor, who promptly hit a go-ahead RBI single. Miami's offense was unable to bail out Bass in the bottom of the 10th. He's likely to continue in a part-time role that sees him often sit against left-handed pitching.

ImpactDevin Williams and Josh Hader were deployed in the eighth and ninth innings, respectively. Rasmussen was the next man up for Milwaukee, and he did well to protect a one-run lead in the bottom of the 10th. ImpactHader took care of business to keep the game tied at 1-1 in the ninth inning, and Milwaukee pulled ahead in the top of the 10th. With Hader and Devin Williams already done for the day, Drew Rasmussen was called on for the save, and he converted with a scoreless inning. The 27-year-old Hader has a 0.71 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and 24:5 K:BB across 12.2 innings. He's been dominant and effective as the closer, converting all seven of his save opportunities so far. The southpaw hasn't pitched in a save situation since April 30, as Milwaukee has gone 2-7 in May.
