Aaron Ashby - Joins big-league clubThe Brewers recalled Ashby from Triple-A Nashville on Sunday.

ImpactThe left-hander has started in 14 of his 25 appearances for Nashville this season, and he's recently been operating out of the bullpen. Ashby has delivered six straight scoreless appearances at Triple-A and has a 14:1 K:BB during that stretch. He'll step into relief role for the Brewers, taking the roster spot of Nick Mears (forearm).

Nick Mears - Out with forearm injuryThe Brewers placed Mears on the 15-day injured list Sunday, retroactive to Aug. 23, due to right forearm inflammation.

ImpactMears has surrendered eight earned runs in 11 outings since being acquired by the Brewers, and he'll now be unavailable for at least the next couple weeks due to the forearm issue. Aaron Ashby will replace him in the bullpen for Milwaukee.
