Victor Caratini - Picks up four hits in lossCaratini went 4-for-4 with one run scored in Saturday's loss against the Padres.
ImpactCarantini has gotten limited playing time to begin the season as the backup backstop, but the 29-year-old took advantage of a start Saturday against the Padres with the four-hit effort. With a career .669 OPS over six-plus seasons, it's unlikely there are too many more of these games coming for Caratini for the rest of the campaign.

Xander Bogaerts - Three hits in winBogaerts went 3-for-4 with two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Brewers.
ImpactBogaerts continues to impress in his first season with the Padres, and he's now picked up at least one hit in all but one of his 15 games played. The shortstop has never been a major threat to steal bases, but his ability to hit for average has been on display throughout the month of April with a .361 mark through 61 at-bats with four homers in that timeframe for good measure. Few hitters have been as good as Bogaerts has to start the 2023 campaign.

Nelson Cruz - Drives in three in blowoutCruz went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run scored in Saturday's victory over the Brewers.
ImpactCruz singled home Juan Soto in the first, picked up a sac fly in the seventh and walked in a run in the eighth. All in days work. The ageless veteran has picked up hits in four straight appearances, but it's nice to see some run production after not picking up an RBI since his six-run outburst Sunday against Atlanta.

Jake Cronenworth - Homers twice with six RBI in routCronenworth went 3-for-4 with two homers along with six RBI while drawing a walk in Saturday's 10-3 win over the Brewers.
ImpactCronenworth tied the game at 2-2 in the first inning with a single off Freddy Peralta, but there was much more offensive fireworks to come from his left-handed bat. He broke a 3-3 tie in the fifth with a two-run shot off Peralta, and he swatted another two-run blast in the seventh off Hoby Milner. A walk with the bases loaded in the eighth made it 10-3 Padres and cemented the blowout. Cronenworth was struggling coming into this game, but the 29-year-old certainly helped plenty of fantasy rosters against the Brew Crew on Saturday.
