Tommy Pham - Could see more starts vs. RHPsPham will start in left field and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Brewers.
ImpactPham had made three of his last four starts against left-handed starting pitchers, but he'll crack the lineup Wednesday while the Brewers send a righty (Tobias Myers) to the hill. According to Katie Woo of The Athletic, Pham could have a pathway to regular playing time moving forward, as the Cardinals optioned struggling infielder Nolan Gorman to Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday. With Gorman out of the picture, Brendan Donovan will likely handle a regular role at second base moving forward, which clears room in the corner outfield for both Pham and Lars Nootbaar.

Michael Siani - Rehab progressingSiani (oblique) has progressed to taking flips and doing some light defensive work, John Denton of MLB.com reports.
ImpactSiani began hitting off a tee this past weekend and is now continuing his progression as he works his way back from a right oblique strain. The center fielder has been shelved since early August but could be ready to return around the start of September.
