Jose Miranda - Dealing with mouth bruise Miranda was diagnosed with a lip/mouth contusion after being hit by a pitch Tuesday against the White Sox, Megan Ryan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Impact The 24-year-old had the pitch ricochet off his left hand before it struck him in the face, and it appears he's avoided a serious injury. Miranda should be considered day-to-day, and it's unclear if he'll be available Wednesday for the final game of the regular season.

Gio Urshela - Leads offense in loss Urshela went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's loss to the White Sox.
Impact Urshela provided all the offense for the Twins on Monday with a two-run home run to right field in the top of the first inning. Additionally, with Minnesota down 3-2 in the top of the ninth inning, Urshela singled against Chicago closer Liam Hendriks to lead off the inning and was removed for a pinch runner before Hendriks stranded him and two other runners to end the game. The third baseman has been rounding out the season hot, batting .472 (17-for-36) with three extra-base hits, six RBI and eight runs scored over his last 10 games.

Bailey Ober - One mistake in final start Ober did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk over five innings against the White Sox. He struck out four.
Impact Ober allowed just two hits on the night, but they were timely as they both came in the second inning, including a two-run home run off the bat of Josh Harrison. In four starts since returning from the injured list Sept. 16, Ober earned a 2.04 ERA over 22.1 innings, finishing the campaign on a high note. In 56 innings on the season, the 27-year old went 2-3 with a 3.21 ERA.

Kyle Garlick - Shifts to 60-day IL The Twins transferred Garlick (wrist) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.
Impact Garlick wasn't able to take part in any minor-league rehab games after he was placed on the IL on Sept. 16 with the left wrist sprain, and even though he's likely made some progress in his recovery over the past two and a half weeks, the Twins won't have him return in 2022. He'll wrap up his second season in Minnesota with a .233/.284/.433 slash line and nine home runs over 162 plate appearances.

Aaron Sanchez - Back with big club The Twins selected Sanchez's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.
Impact Sanchez will be up with the Twins for the third time this season after he cleared waivers and remained in the organization on the prior two occasions Minnesota designated him for assignment. Though he's started in 10 of his 14 appearances at the big-league level in 2022, Sanchez will likely work as a long reliever over the Twins' final three games of the season.

Impact Aaron Sanchez was called up from Triple-A St. Paul to join the bullpen as a replacement for Megill, who was removed from his relief appearance in Sunday's loss to the Tigers due to the injury. Impact Woods Richardson gave up two runs in the first inning on an error and a wild pitch before serving up a solo homer to Eric Haase in the third.
