Impact Garlick exited Thursday's game against the Royals with pain in his left wrist and hand. The initially evidently turned out to be serious enough to sideline him for at least 10 days. He'll be eligible to return for the final nine games for the regular season, but it's possible his campaign is done. Mark Contreras was recalled to take his place on the roster.

Bailey Ober - Activated prior to start Ober (groin) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list prior to Friday's start against the Guardians, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.
Impact Ober was on the injured list since early June due to a groin strain, but he recently completed a three-game rehab assignment in which he allowed two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out 12 in 11.2 innings. The right-hander has made seven starts for the Twins this year and has posted a 4.01 ERA and 1.28 WHIP in 33.2 innings.

Mark Contreras - Recalled from Triple-A Contreras was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.
Impact With Kyle Garlick moving to the injured list, Contreras will return to the big leagues once again. He's recorded a .801 OPS in 120 plate appearances since being optioned down in early-August and will provide temporary depth to the Twins' outfield.

Randy Dobnak - Assigned to Triple-A Dobnak cleared waivers Friday and was assigned to Triple-A St. Paul, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Impact Dobnak has spent all of this season on the 60-day injured list and found little success during his rehab process, recording a 9.35 ERA over 8.2 innings in St. Paul. Until he can put together some form of consistent success in the minors and stay healthy, the Twins will keep him off their 40-man roster for the time being.

Impact It originally didn't seem like Polanco would need to play some games in the minors before returning, but that is exactly what he will be doing for the next couple days. Polanco's knee has kept him out of action since late-August, and the Twins will have to wait a bit longer before getting their second baseman back.

Impact Correa gave Minnesota an early lead with a solo shot off Daniel Lynch in the first inning. He walked twice in his final three plate appearances and has reached base multiple times in six of his past eight contests. Over that stretch, Correa is batting a robust .469 with five home runs and 11 RBI.

Jhoan Duran - Notches seventh save Duran earned a save against Kansas City on Thursday, allowing two hits and striking out two batters in a scoreless ninth inning.
Impact With the Twins up one run heading into the ninth inning, manager Rocco Baldelli called upon Duran to notch the tough save. The right-hander allowed consecutive singles to start the frame but retired the next three batters -- the final two by strikeout -- to slam the door. Regular closer Jorge Lopez has struggled of late, giving up four runs over his past 4.1 innings. Given Duran's dominance this season (he holds a 1.70 ERA and 84:14 K:BB over 63.2 innings), it wouldn't be surprising to see him get more opportunities to close down the stretch.

Dylan Bundy - Pulled after four innings Bundy did not factor in the decision against Kansas City on Thursday, pitching four innings and allowing two runs on four hits and no walks while striking out two batters.
Impact Bundy gave up a run in the second and another in the fourth, but he finished the latter frame holding a 3-2 lead. Manager Rocco Baldelli opted not to let him go out for the fifth, preventing Bundy from qualifying for the win. The veteran hurler had thrown only 60 pitches at the time of his departure, so Baldelli may have simply been avoiding having Bundy go through the order for the third time. This was Bundy's shortest start since Aug. 6.
