Owen Miller - On bench WednesdayMiller is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.
ImpactMiller is on the bench for the second game in a row, after he was excluded from the lineup for the second half of Tuesday's doubleheader. With Franmil Reyes back from the injured list and Oscar Gonzalez having taken hold of an everyday role in the outfield, Miller looks like he'll be playing on only a part-time basis versus right-handed pitching. Miller should still have a regular spot in the lineup versus lefties.

Jose Miranda - Two extra-base hits in twin billMiranda went 3-for-7 with a solo home run and a double while starting both ends of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Guardians.
ImpactMiranda started at third base for a resting Gio Urshela in the early game, then stepped in for the lefty-hitting Alex Kirilloff in the nightcap while the Twins brought southpaw Konnor Pilkington to the hill. Prior to Tuesday, Miranda hadn't started in any of the Twins' previous three contests, and the rookie may have to settle for a short-side platoon role after Jorge Polanco (back) returned from the injured list for the second game of the twin bill to create further crowding in the Minnesota infield.

Oscar Gonzalez - Pair of doubles in nightcapGonzalez went 2-for-4 with two doubles in a 6-0 loss to the Twins in Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader.
ImpactGonzalez was the only Guardian to post multiple hits in the nightcap, and one of three batters to collect more than one hit across the twin bill. The rookie outfielder snapped an 0-for-10 skid at the place with this performance, as he's cooled off a bit late in June. He's still hitting a solid .294/.325/.445 with two home runs, 14 RBI, 12 runs scored and 12 doubles through 31 games. Barring a significant slump, Gonzalez should continue to serve as the near-everyday right fielder.

Amed Rosario - Productive in twin billRosario went 4-for-8 with two RBI and a run scored across both halves of Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Twins.
ImpactRosario went 3-for-4 in the afternoon game, which included the game-winning hit, a two-run single in the eighth inning. He was a little quieter in the nightcap. His four hits paced the team in the doubleheader, as all other Guardians hitters combined for six hits across the pair of contests. The shortstop is slashing .282/.314/.380 with two home runs, 21 RBI, 37 runs scored and eight stolen bases in 10 attempts across 65 games this season.

Sam Hentges - Notches win TuesdayHentges (2-0) picked up the win in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Twins. He allowed a run on one hit and struck out two in one inning.
ImpactHentges gave up a go-ahead solo home run to Carlos Correa in the top of the eighth inning, but the Guardians regained the lead in their half of the frame. This marked the second consecutive outing in which Hentges has given up a run, something he hadn't done all season. He's still fairly strong with a 2.33 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 31:7 K:BB in 27 innings. The southpaw's strong pitching could see him earn some high-leverage looks on a matchup basis, but he's picked up only one hold in 26 appearances.
