Jhoan Duran - Secures 11th saveDuran fired a clean inning while striking out a batter en route to his 11th save of the season in a win over the Tigers on Sunday.
ImpactDuran was called upon to protect a three-run lead in the 10th inning and was flawless in doing so. He sits in the middle of the pack with 11 saves on the year but has been the shutdown guy the Twins need in the back end of their bullpen, especially with Jorge Lopez (personal) currently away from the team. The 25-year-old Duran now boasts a 1.45 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 42:14 K:BB in 31 innings thus far.

Bailey Ober - Racks up eight strikeouts in winOber allowed three runs on five hits and a walk while striking out eight over six innings Sunday against the Tigers. He did not factor into the decision.
ImpactThe Tigers tacked all three of their runs against Ober in the third inning on two doubles and two singles. He settled down after that and tossed three strong frames while allowing only one batter to reach on a walk. The 27-year-old racked up a season-high eight strikeouts and generated 17 whiffs while avoiding a loss after the Twins wound up coming back to win in extra innings. Ober has quality starts now in four of his last five outings and sports a sparkling 2.98 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 66:15 K:BB over 69.2 innings thus far. He lines up for a meeting with the Orioles next weekend.

Michael Lorenzen - Surrenders two runs in no-decisionLorenzen allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out four over five innings Sunday against the Twins. He did not factor into the decision.
ImpactLorenzen posted his second consecutive start allowing two runs or less but failed to reach six innings for the first time since May 22. He generated eight whiffs on the day and gave up just two extra base hits, one of which was a two-run homer to Donovan Solano in the third inning. Lorenzen has not picked up a win since May 16, but Sunday's effort brought his ERA down to a 3.97 to go with a 1.16 WHIP and 58:19 K:BB over 77 innings. He lines up for an uninviting road game in Colorado next weekend.
