Edgar García - Called up by MinnesotaGarcia was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
ImpactGarcia made four relief appearances at Triple-A St. Paul after he was claimed off waivers by the Twins on July 30, and he allowed two hits and a walk while striking out six in five scoreless innings. Mitch Garver - Not starting MondayGarver isn't in the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.

Josh Donaldson - Still not startingDonaldson (hamstring) isn't starting Monday's game against the White Sox.
ImpactDonaldson was able to return to action Thursday and Friday after he was held out of the lineup for five games due to a hamstring injury last week. However, the 35-year-old is apparently still dealing with the issue, as he'll now be out of the lineup for a third consecutive game. Luis Arraez will start at the hot corner while Trevor Larnach takes over in left field.

Matt Canterino - Begins rehab assignmentCanterino (elbow) struck out two over two perfect innings Sunday in a rehab start at Low-A Fort Myers.
ImpactCanterino has been sidelined at High-A Cedar Rapids since late May with a right elbow strain, but he looks on track to return from the 7-day injured list in short order. The Twins may want to have Canterino get in one more tune-up outing at Low-A before slotting him back into the Cedar Rapids rotation.

Charlie Barnes - Working behind openerBarnes is scheduled to serve as the Twins' primary pitcher behind opener Beau Burrows in Monday's game against the White Sox, LaVelle E. Neal III of the Minneapolis Star Tribune re...
ImpactBarnes made his second career start Aug. 4 in Cincinnati, covering four innings while giving up five runs on seven hits and two walks to take the loss. Though Barnes will remain in the Minnesota rotation for another turn, the Twins are hopeful that having him work behind an opener will yield better results. The arrangement could hurt Barnes from a workload perspective, though it should improve his chances of factoring into any decision.
