Bailey Ober - Slow progressOber (groin) will play catch this week and hopes to throw off a mound "soon," manager Rocco Baldelli told the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
ImpactIt doesn't sound like Ober has made much progress in the past month as there was a similar report in late June that he hoped to soon throw a bullpen session. He's been out eight weeks with an aponeurotic plate injury, which he described as a tendon pulling on his pelvic bone. There seems a decent chance he could be shut down for the season if he's not soon back on track to returning.

Rowdy Tellez - Powers Milwaukee to victoryTellez went 2-for-4 with a walk, two home runs and six RBI in Wednesday's 10-4 win over the Twins.
ImpactThe slugging first baseman launched a pair of three-run blasts, one off Chris Archer in the first inning and the second off Jharel Cotton in the fourth to carry the Brewers to their fifth win in six games coming out of the All-Star break. Tellez is batting only .182 (14-for-77) in July, but he's connected on five of his 20 homers on the year while driving in 16 of his 64 runs.

Corbin Burnes - Fans 11 in eighth winBurnes (8-4) picked up the win in Wednesday's 10-4 victory over the Twins, giving up three runs on five hits over six innings. He struck out 11 without walking a batter.
ImpactMinnesota got to Burnes for three runs in the second inning, but other than that stumble the right-hander was in total control, racking up 17 swinging strikes among his 102 pitches and fanning double-digit batters for the third time in his last four starts and the eighth time this season. The quality start was also his 15th in 20 trips to the mound, and Burnes will take a 2.31 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 160:31 K:BB through 124.2 innings as he keeps himself in the running for his second straight Cy Young Award.

Gary Sánchez - Steals rare bagSanchez went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 10-4 loss to the Brewers.
ImpactHe caught Milwaukee napping in the second inning to steal his second bag of the season, and only the sixth of his career. Sanchez then got lifted for a pinch hitter in the seventh inning with the game seeming to be out of reach. The 29-year-old has had a rough July at the plate, slashing .171/.261/.268 through 14 games with one homer and six RBI, but he'll remain Minnesota's starting catcher with Ryan Jeffers (thumb) sidelined until September, barring a significant addition by the Twins at the trade deadline.

Chris Archer - Awful in Wednesday's lossArcher (2-5) took the loss Wednesday, surrendering six runs on three hits and six walks over three-plus innings as the Twins fell 10-4 to the Brewers. He struck out two.
ImpactThe right-hander threw only 36 of 78 pitches for strikes before getting the hook after walking the bases loaded to begin the fourth inning, and Archer had to watch from the dugout as all three baserunners came around to score, blowing open a 3-3 tie. The 33-year-old has been tagged for 10 runs in 7.2 innings since coming off the IL right before the All-Star break, inflating his ERA by nearly a full run to 4.04, and if the Twins add rotation depth at the trade deadline, Archer could be the one to lose his spot.
