Matt Bush - Yields unearned run in returnBush gave up an unearned run on a hit and a walk with one strikeout in one inning during Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Twins.
ImpactBush put two runners aboard and then committed a throwing error, leading to the Twins' sixth run. The right-hander had a 5.00 ERA and 1.33 WHIP in nine innings in June before going on the injured list with forearm soreness. He's expected to compete for save opportunities in what's likely to be a closer committee for the Rangers following the demotion of Joe Barlow from the role. Overall, Bush has a 3.90 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 37:8 K:BB with a save, eight holds and three blown saves in 27.2 innings this year.

Dane Dunning - Struggles again SundayDunning allowed four runs on six hits, four walks and a hit batter with two strikeouts in 2.1 innings versus the Twins on Sunday. He did not factor in the decision.
ImpactDunning avoided a loss as the Rangers' offense kept the game close, but this was his third start of less than five innings in his last seven outings. He was inefficient, throwing 38 of 66 pitches for strikes as he struggled to scrape together seven outs. The right-hander has given up four or more runs in six of his 18 starts, leading to a 4.42 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 84:37 K:BB across 95.2 innings. He'll look to get back on track in a home start versus the Mariners next week.

Ryan Jeffers - Pops seventh homerJeffers went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Rangers.
ImpactJeffers has hit safely in three straight games, going 6-for-13 with two homers, five RBI, three runs scored and a double in that span. The 25-year-old backstop's long ball Sunday was a big one, as it put the Twins ahead 5-4 in the sixth inning. He's upped his slash line to .211/.288/.378 with seven long balls, 25 RBI and 22 runs scored through 206 plate appearances. Jeffers is likely to continue splitting playing time with Gary Sanchez behind the plate.

Byron Buxton - Opens scoring with homerBuxton went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Rangers.
ImpactBuxton has gotten off to a cold start in July, going 4-for-34 (.118) in eight contests. He's salvaged some fantasy value from the slump, as all four of his hits this month have gone for extra bases (three homers, one double), and he's added a stolen base. The outfielder is up to 23 long balls, 42 RBI, 48 runs scored and a .215/.295/.550 slash line through 281 plate appearances.

Tyler Duffey - Secures second saveDuffey allowed a hit and struck out one to earn the save in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Rangers.
ImpactThis was Duffey's second save of the year, and his only other one came May 16. Notably, Jhoan Duran gave up a solo home run to Corey Seager in the eighth inning. Save chances haven't been frequent for the Twins lately, and there's little clarity as to who the favorite for ninth-inning duties might be. Duffey has a 4.14 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 36:11 K:BB across 37 innings while adding two saves, nine holds and three blown saves in 33 outings, but he's been sharper lately with an active 13-inning scoreless streak.
