MLB Buy or Sell: Ohtani’s pitching future? 100 bags for Elly? Astros alive?
Dylan Crews - Heating up in MayCrews is slashing .310/.379/.569 through 17 games in May for Double-A Harrisburg with one homer, four steals, eight runs and 16 RBI.
ImpactThe second overall pick in the 2023 Draft is finally showing a spark at the plate for Harrisburg after batting just .207 (25-for-121) through his first 32 games at Double-A dating back to last year. Crews has also gotten his strikeout rate under control, posting a 21.2 percent K rate in May after flailing away with a 37.0 percent mark in April. The 22-year-old outfielder still isn't tapping into his raw power consistently, but if James Wood gets promoted to the majors soon, Crews could get bumped up to Triple-A Rochester at the same time.

James Wood - On-base machine at Triple-AWood has reached base safely in 28 straight games for Triple-A Rochester, slashing .379/.480/.650 over that stretch with seven homers, five steals and more walks (21) than strikeou...
ImpactThe 21-year-old would seem to have nothing left to learn in the minors, but the Nationals have still been reticent to promote Wood to the majors despite the lackluster production they've been getting from the likes of Jesse Winker (.158/.284/.368 in May). Lane Thomas (knee) could also come off the IL this weekend, but Wood should still force his way into the starting nine for Washington by June unless the club is prioritizing his future contract years over improving an offense that sits 26th in runs scored, 26th in OPS and 25th in wRC+ on the season.
MAY 23ROTOWIRE
Yohandy Morales - Lands on injured listMorales was placed on the 7-day IL this week at Double-A Harrisburg due to a thumb injury, Bobby Blanco of MASN Sports reports.
ImpactThe 22-year-old was injured Saturday on a play at home plate as he tried to score on a wild pitch. Morales has having a tepid start to the season, slashing .238/.315/.346 with two homers in 37 games for Harrisburg, but the 2023 second-round pick might be able to use the time off to clear his head and re-focus. There's no timeline for Morales' return to the lineup.

Carlos Correa - Launches fourth home runCorrea went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Nationals.
ImpactCorrea extended Minnesota's lead to 2-0 with two outs in the sixth inning with a solo shot off Jake Irvin, his fourth of the year and second in three days. The 29-year-old Correa has a hit in five straight games, going 5-for-17 with a 1.133 OPS in that span. He's now slashing .268/.362/.455 on the season with 13 RBI and 18 runs scored through 130 plate appearances.
