Slated for scheduled rest days Betts will rest every fourth day going forward, the Associated Press reports. Impact Betts didn't start Sunday after playing the previous three days, and the Dodgers appear committed to having the star outfielder stick to that schedule, at least temporarily. An off day this Thursday may provide a built-in respite without necessitating a missed game, but the team then plays 13 straight days, which equates to three games off for Betts down the stretch if the pattern holds true. Manager Dave Roberts did suggest that the scheduled off days may be subject to change, stating, "There's going to be a point where we're just going to run him out there every day because he's the best option."
