Andrés Giménez - Launches clutch three-run homerGimenez went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Mets.
ImpactGimenez provided a key blast in Cleveland's comeback victory, ripping a three-run homer off Jose Quintana with two outs in the sixth inning to tie the game 3-3. While the long ball was Gimenez's lone hit in the three-game series, he's gone 14-for-39 (.359) with three homers in his last 10 contests. The 25-year-old second baseman is now slashing .266/.327/.386 with four homers, 30 RBI, 28 runs scored and seven steals across 47 games this season.

Harrison Bader - Homer, stolen base in lossBader went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Guardians.
ImpactBader extended the Mets lead to 3-0 in the fourth inning with a solo shot off Triston McKenzie, his second long ball of the year and first since April 17. Bader's been swinging the bat well, going 10-for-30 with six RBI in his last eight games. He's slashing .281/.324/.360 with 17 runs scored, 13 RBI and seven stolen bases across 42 games as the Mets' primary center-fielder this season.

Triston McKenzie - Shaky in no-decisionMcKenzie did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Mets, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out five.
ImpactMcKenzie didn't appear to have his best stuff Wednesday, as he'd allow three solo homers before departing with a 3-0 deficit in the sixth inning. However, the Guardians would rally for six unanswered runs in an eventual victory, sparing McKenzie the loss. Still, it's the first time in seven starts that McKenzie's allowed more than two earned runs -- he came into the day with a 2.10 ERA over his prior six outings. Overall, the 26-year-old right-hander sports a 3.44 ERA with a 1.34 WHIP and 45:31 K:BB over 10 starts (52.1 innings) this season. McKenzie's next start is currently lined up for early next week against the Rockies in Colorado.

Cade Smith - Picks up first career saveSmith earned the save in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Mets, allowing one hit while striking out two in a scoreless inning of work.
ImpactAfter Emmanuel Clase pitched in three consecutive days, the Guardians turned to Smith in the ninth with a three-run lead Wednesday. The rookie right-hander would allow a two-out double to Francisco Lindor before rebounding to strike out Pete Alonso, sealing his first MLB save. Smith's been solid out of the bullpen for Cleveland this year, pitching to a 2.01 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 32:7 K:BB while recording five holds in 22.1 innings. While he won't unseat Clase for the closing job, Smith has certainly established himself as a high-leverage option going forward.
