Daniel Vogelbach - Drives in three in Wednesday's lossVogelbach went 3-for-5 with a double, a run scored and three RBI in Wednesday's 10-8 loss to the Astros.
ImpactThe veteran slugger did what he could to keep the Mets in the game with an RBI double in the third inning and a two-run single in the fourth. Vogelbach appears to be regaining his swagger at the plate, starting four of the last six games at DH and going 7-for-17 (.412) with two homers and seven RBI.

Tommy Pham - Swipes two bags in lossPham went 1-for-3 with two walks, a run scored and two stolen bases in Wednesday's 10-8 loss to the Astros.
ImpactThe Mets ran wild as a team, going 4-for-4 on steal attempts against Martin Maldonado with Pham leading the parade. The veteran outfielder has become a lineup regular during a scorching-hit June that has seen him bat .321 (18-for-56) over 15 games with six doubles, four homers, three steals, 11 runs and 14 RBI.

Pete Alonso - Launches 23rd homerAlonso went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 10-8 loss to the Astros.
ImpactThe first baseman took Rafael Montero deep in the sixth inning, giving the Mets their last offense of the day. It's Alonso's first homer in four games since making an early return from a bone bruise in his wrist, but overall he's gone just 2-for-16 during that stretch. Despite missing eight games earlier this month with the injury, the 28-year-old still leads the NL with 23 home runs on the year.

Tylor Megill - Early exit in slugfestMegill didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 10-8 loss to the Astros, coughing up five runs (four earned) on four hits and four walks over 2.1 innings. He struck out two.
ImpactThe right-hander found the plate with only 32 of his 63 pitches and uncorked two wild pitches, but he was far from alone in having control issues as the two pitching staffs combined for 16 walks and two hit by pitches on the afternoon. It was the fourth time in his last six starts Megill failed to work past the fourth inning, and the rough stretch has sent his ERA soaring to 5.17. He'll try to get back on track in his next outing, likely to come at home early next week against the Brewers.
