Brandon Sproat - Promoted to Triple-ASproat was promoted to Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
ImpactSproat is coming off of one of the best performances of his young career, striking out 13 batters, including the final 11 he faced, in Friday's 7-3 loss to Double-A New Hampshire. Over 11 starts with Double-A Binghamton, Sproat produced an impressive 2.45 ERA and 0.87 WHIP with 77 punchouts over 62.1 innings. He'll now look to keep it up at the Triple-A level, one step away from making it to the big leagues.
