Zach Neto - Reaches 20-steal markNeto went 1-for-3 with a triple, a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Mets.
ImpactNeto didn't have an extra-base hit over 12 games from July 21 to Aug. 2, but he's now hit a homer and a triple of his last two games. The shortstop's steal Sunday was his 20th of the year, and nine of them have come since the start of July. For the season, he's managed a .256/.320/.439 slash line with 14 home runs, 51 RBI, 49 runs scored, 23 doubles and one triple over 109 contests.

Roansy Contreras - Notches second saveContreras struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Mets.
ImpactContreras has allowed just two runs over 10.1 innings while posting a 13:2 K:BB since moving back to the bullpen July 14. He hasn't been a candidate for much high-leverage work, but he got the save chance Sunday as the only Angels reliever to pitch less than twice over the previous five days. Through 48 innings between the Angels and the Pirates this year, Contreras has a 4.13 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 46:21 K:BB, though it appears his performance has turned a corner after a poor stint in the Angels' rotation. Still, Ben Joyce and Hunter Strickland figure to be the favorites for the few save chances the Angels will generate the rest of the way.

Griffin Canning - Wins despite walking fourCanning (4-10) allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and four walks while striking out eight over five innings, earning the win over the Mets on Sunday.
ImpactCanning's control was lacking as he threw just 54 of 97 pitches for strikes, but he did a decent job of preventing runs. Harrison Bader and Francisco Lindor each had RBI singles in the contest. It's been up and down results for Canning recently -- this was just the fourth time in 10 starts he's allowed less than four runs, and it was his first win since June 24. The right-hander still has an ugly 5.10 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 93:47 K:BB over 121.2 innings across 23 starts this season. He could match his career high for innings pitched (127) in his next start, which is tentatively projected to be a road outing versus the Nationals.

Adam Cimber - Signs minor-league deal with AngelsCimber and the Angels agreed on a minor-league contract Sunday.
ImpactCimber will report to Triple-A Salt Lake, returning to the Angels organization after he was released by the team July 23. The right-hander has struggled to a 7.03 ERA and 1.40 WHIP with 19 strikeouts over 24.1 innings in 28 appearances with the Angels this season. He'll look to hit the reset button against Triple-A competition.

Davis Daniel - Drawing another startDaniel is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against the Yankees on the road.
ImpactDaniel will stick around as the Angels' No. 5 starter for another turn after he showed well in his return to the big leagues this past Wednesday, when he limited the Rockies to one run over five innings while striking out five batters. The right-hander will draw a tougher test for his second turn through the rotation, but barring a disaster of an outing in The Bronx, Daniel should have some staying power in a starting role with the Halos.
